AMCOA
PROJECTS
The
Australian Marist Centre for Overseas Aid is a central part of the MMC,
existing to support third world poverty alleviation, development
projects and needy persons principally in Third World countries; in
particular to women, children and the handicapped. Donations to AMCOA are tax deductable. AMCOA
supports projects in the Asia Pacific region including but not limited to:

The
newest mission of the Marist Fathers addresses the needs of Burmese
migrant workers at Ranong in the south of Thailand

The
Marist Fathers International Mission is responsible for
the support of
worldwide Marist Missions. Funds given through MFIM are normally
distributed for mission purposes (eg support of worldwide Marist
missions, training of priests and religious, catechetical programs, improvement and building of church
facilities, to name a few).
Tax deductible receipts are not available for gifts to MFIM.
