 WEBSITE

Over the past 20 years, 8 ‘Huilings’ have been opened in eight different cities in China, and 3 new Huilings are on the way. Beijing Huiling began in the year 2000 after the success of the first Huiling operation in Guangzhou. Beijing Huiling provides many services including: activities and training which facilitate independence and improve daily living skills; the three primary colours art and craft workshop where clients are taught skills they can use to gain employment; and Family Group Homes, a family-like setting for residents with disabilities.

Huiling believes that individuals with mental and learning disabilities can greatly contribute to and be productive members of our society. In
China, Huiling works actively in the disability community. The target group is (young) adults aged 16 and older, with the goal of helping these individuals develop work and life skills to enable them to participate in community activities. The quality of life of individuals with mental and learning disabilities greatly depends on the extent in which they can lead a “normal” life, which in turn depends on their ability to integrate into society.  It is Huiling’s mission to guide and support individuals in this integration process.

Huiling’s innovative spirit and service methods enable our trainees to further grow and attain a high quality of life. In addition, we hope our practices will make a difference in society and will stimulate other organizations in the same field to join in our path to improve the quality of life of people with mental and learning disabilities.
